# Jitra v2.6.1 - GPS setup and Tracking map

> Jitra v2.6.1 makes GPS Object registration clearer and improves Object selection and visibility on the Tracking map.

Jitra v2.6.1 makes it easier to register a GPS Object and start tracking, and fixes Object visibility on the **Tracking** map.

**Release date:** October 13, 2026. This update is available on **Jitra Web** and does not require a Mobile app update.

## Improvements

### Clearer GPS Object registration

* **Choose your Tracking Method:** the registration flow explains the difference between **GPS Device** and **Jitra Tracker App**.
* **Identify your device:** guidance helps you select the GPS model and enter its **Device ID**. The name field is now labeled **Object Name**.
* **Set up the connection:** **Connect Your GPS Device** shows the Server Address, Port, Copy buttons, and **View Setup Guide** when configuration details are available for the model. Otherwise, the flow provides general guidance.
* **Check connection progress:** after saving, **Object Created** explains that the GPS is not connected yet. You can still select **Continue to Edit Object**.
* **Start tracking:** when Jitra receives the first valid GPS location, the status changes to **GPS Connected**. Select **Track on Map** to open the Tracking map focused on the new Object.

The **Jitra Tracker App** option continues to use Tracker Activation and does not require physical GPS device configuration.

## Fixes

### More consistent Object visibility on the map

* Clicking an Object row or marker focuses the map on that Object without hiding other Objects.
* Checkboxes let you select multiple Objects to follow, and **Follow** remains active when you select another Object.
* **Hide Objects** hides markers when requested, and **Show Objects** restores them.
* Clustering and fitting the map no longer unexpectedly remove other Object markers.
