# Configuring TKStar Devices

> Configure a TKStar H02-family GPS Device by SMS to send data to Jitra.

Supported TKStar devices using the H02-family protocol connect to the TKStar listener in Jitra. Many models use SMS commands with the common factory password `123456`.

## Configure by SMS

Replace `<APN>` with the SIM operator APN. These commands apply to TK208-style firmware:

```

If the APN requires credentials, use the APN username and password commands documented for the model. Wait for a success reply after every command.

## Read Back the Configuration

Use `param1` or `check123456` when supported by the model to inspect the saved APN, server, port, and reporting values. Restart only after they match the Jitra profile.

  TKStar command sets vary substantially between products. Use the exact model manual and do not assume a command is supported because another TKStar model accepts it.

## Verify in Jitra

Create the Object in **Settings > Objects > New**, choose the matching TKStar model, and enter the identifier reported by the device. Confirm a recent update and correct time on **Tracking**.
