# Updating Shared Resources

> Learn how to add or remove Objects, Geofences, Sites, and Routes from an active Organization share in Jitra.

## Introduction

Once a share has the **Accepted** status, you can update the shared resources without creating a new invitation.

You can add or remove Objects, Geofences, Sites, and Routes while the sharing connection remains active.

## Method 1: Edit the Share

Use this method when you want to review or update multiple resource types at once.

Open **Share → My Shares**, find the share you want to update, open its menu, then select **Edit**.

### 1. Update the Shared Resources

The edit form shows the resources currently included in the share.

Add new resources or remove resources that you no longer want to share.

### 2. Save the Changes

Save the form when the selection is correct.

The share remains **Accepted**, and the receiving Organization does not need to approve the changes again.

## Method 2: Update a Resource Type from My Shares

If you only want to update one resource type, use the resource count directly from the **My Shares** table.

For example, if the **Objects** column shows **5**, click the number to review the five Objects currently included in the share.

### 1. Review the Current Resources

Jitra displays a popup with the resources currently shared for that resource type.

### 2. Click Change

Click **Change** to switch the popup to selection mode.

Resources that are currently shared remain selected.

### 3. Update the Selection

Select resources you want to add and clear resources you want to remove.

You can use Search when the resource list is long.

### 4. Save the Changes

Save the updated selection. The share remains **Accepted** and no new invitation is required.

## What Happens When a Resource Is Removed?

Removing a resource from the share removes the receiving Organization's access to that resource.

The original resource remains in your Organization and is not deleted.

If the resource was already assigned to users in the receiving Organization, those users also lose access when the resource is removed from the share.

## Sharing with No Resources

You can remove all resources from an **Accepted** share.

The connection between the Organizations remains active even when no resources are currently shared.

You can add resources back to the same connection later without creating a new invitation.

## When Should You Use Each Method?

Use **Edit** when you want to review or update several resource types at once.

Use the **resource count** when you want to quickly review or update one specific resource type.
