# Understanding Sharing in Jitra

> Learn how the Share feature in Jitra works and understand the differences between My Shares, Shared With Us, and Public Link.

The **Share** feature allows you to give or receive access to Jitra resources without transferring ownership of those resources.

Through this feature, you can share data with another Organization or create a public link for selected resources.

The Share page contains three main menus:

* **My Shares**
* **Shared With Us**
* **Public Link**

Each menu is designed for a different sharing need.

## My Shares

**My Shares** is used to manage resources that your Organization shares with another Organization.

Resources that can be shared include:

* Object
* Geofence
* Site
* Route

When creating a new share, you choose the destination Organization using a **Share Code** or email address, then select the resources you want to share.

The receiving Organization must accept the invitation before the sharing becomes active.

Once the share has been accepted, you can continue updating the shared resources without creating a new invitation.

## Shared With Us

**Shared With Us** contains resources that another Organization has shared with your Organization.

New invitations appear in this menu and must be accepted before the resources become available to your Organization.

After an invitation is accepted, the resources are not automatically available to every user.

A user with permission to manage users must determine which users can access the shared resources.

## Public Link

**Public Link** is used to share resources through a link.

Unlike Organization Sharing, Public Link does not create a sharing relationship between Organizations.

This feature is useful when you want to provide access through a link without requiring the recipient to sign in to Jitra.

Public Links are managed separately from My Shares and Shared With Us.

## Choosing the Right Sharing Method

Use **My Shares** when you want to share an Object, Geofence, Site, or Route with another Organization that uses Jitra.

Use **Shared With Us** to view and manage resources that another Organization has shared with you.

Use **Public Link** when you want to share resources through a public link without creating a sharing relationship between Organizations.
