Introduction

Public Links that you have created can be managed from Share → Public Link. From this page, you can:
  • view the Public Link status
  • copy the link
  • review shared resources
  • update shared resources
  • activate or deactivate the link
  • edit the Public Link
  • delete the Public Link
Editing a Public Link does not create a new URL. The existing URL remains the same as long as the Public Link is not deleted. Open Share → Public Link. The Public Links table shows information such as:
  • Name
  • Status
  • Link
  • Object
  • Geofence
  • Site
  • Route
The number shown for each resource type indicates how many resources are currently shared through that link. Click Copy next to the URL to copy the Public Link. Recipients do not need to sign in to Jitra to open an Active Public Link. Open the menu on the right side of the link, then select Edit. From the Edit form, you can update:
  • Name
  • Active status
  • Objects
  • Geofences
  • Sites
  • Routes
Save the form when the changes are complete. The Public Link URL remains the same. Use the Active toggle in the Edit form to control whether the Public Link can be accessed. When the link is Active, recipients can open the URL and view the shared resources on the live map. When the link is inactive, the URL remains stored but is treated as invalid when accessed. You can activate the same Public Link again later.

Viewing Shared Resources

Click the resource count in the Object, Geofence, Site, or Route column to review the resources currently included in the Public Link. For example, if the Object column shows 5, click the number to view the five Objects included in the link.

Updating Resources from the Resource Count

From the resource list popup, click Change. Jitra switches to selection mode and displays the available resources with checkboxes. Select resources you want to add and clear resources you no longer want to share, then save the selection. This is useful when you only want to update one resource type without opening the full Edit form. If a Public Link is no longer needed, open its menu and select Delete. After confirmation, the Public Link is removed and its URL can no longer be used.

Edit or Change: Which Should You Use?

Use Edit when you want to update several parts of the Public Link at once, such as its name, Active status, and multiple resource types. Use resource count → Change when you only want to quickly review or update one resource type.
